It was a pretty long night with Noah waking up and consequently waking up Eli. I eventually ended up sleeping in the boys' room with Noah and Eli spent the night in our bed with Aaron. Early Christmas morning we snuck Eli back into his room and waited for the boys to wake up. Around 8am I heard noises coming from their room and I excitedly went to get them from their room. They, on the other hand, were not so excited (probably due to the horrible night of sleep). So I ran and got their stockings and they opened them up in bed. That definitely brightened them up!
After their stockings were open they ran down the hall to see all the presents under the tree. Of course they both first saw the Buzz Lightyear spaceship and the fighting began. Once Eli got a turn in the spaceship he was not about to give it up. At one point he wanted to play with some of his other new toys so he stood up with one leg in and one leg out of the spaceship and started walking around looking at all the new stuff. He couldn't get all the way out and risk Noah stealing it from him! He opened his new blanket and pillow I made him sitting in the spaceship and covered himself up and put the pillow behind his head. He looked pretty relaxed sitting in that spaceship all covered up, lounged back with his thumb in his mouth!
Definitely Eli's favorite toy!
Noah got a turn in the spaceship later on.
Eli was NOT happy about it!
Grandma and Grandpa and Mike and Lanae made their way over here and we opened the rest of the presents. My dad then made us all a delicious breakfast and the boys all played outside in the snow on the new sleds they got. Unfortunately Deb had to go to work so she took off after breakfast and didn't get home until about 5 or 6. We had a low key dinner and then opened the presents and stockings from the Washington family over at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was definitely a great Christmas! This was the first year that the boys have really gotten into Christmas and it was so much fun watching them get so excited over opening their presents.
It looks like a Christmas tornado went through my living room!
