Tubes

Noah got tubes in his ears on the 26th of May. He was getting an ear infection every month or two, so I was definitely ready for tubes. Eli had them put in last July and we haven't had an issue with his ears since then. It will definitely be nice not having to go to the doctor and mess with antibiotics every other month.

He did really well with the surgery. We had to be at the hospital at 7:45 in the morning so I had to wake him up to get there on time. We dropped Eli off with Grandpa and went to the hospital with Noah and Sarah. It was cute because Noah kept asking about Eli. You could tell he was a little concerned that Eli wasn't with us but also kind of happy with all the attention he was getting from both parents. He got a little impatient waiting to get called back for the surgery (it was almost an hour after we got there) and kept asking to eat. Once we were called back he was excited to put on the yellow PJ bottoms but didn't want the top on for some reason and absolutely refused to put on the socks. He didn't fuss at all when they took him to the operating room in a bright red wagon.

This is right after the surgery. He was super groggy and almost fell asleep on me. He kept saying his ear hurt so his nurse brought him some Ibuprofen.

After the surgery Aaron and I got to go back and sit with him. He was really groggy at first but slowly came around after he got some apple juice and a popsicle. Once we left we took him to Toys 'R' Us to pick out a new toy for himself and Eli. He wanted a gun (they LOVE guns - such boys!) so we got them each a gun that makes noise and lights up. They played with them for a week straight before the broke.

Taking a big gulp and then spitting it out on the ground. Why this is so enjoyable I will never know.

I'm glad the surgery went well. I bet it will be nice not having all those dr. visits now. Brooklyn hated the hospital socks as well. She cried and kept kicking them off.
