Hit and Run

Around 6am this morning Pat and Deb heard a really loud noise that shook the house. Deb went outside to see what the sound was and saw a car puttering down the street. She then looked over the deck and discovered that car had slammed through their wooden fence and into their backyard, just barely missing the back deck. They called the police who followed the trail of leaking fluid from the car and collected some evidence from the scene of the wreck. Apparently Lexington has a pretty good hit and run team so we hope they will catch the guy who did this, he obviously should not be allowed to drive on our roads. What makes this even worse is that we are leaving this week to head to Washington and Pat and Mike are dogsitting for us. That means Aaron and Pat have to get this repaired ASAP so the dogs can be in the backyard. What a horrible way to start the week, huh?
