My kids love to ride their bikes. They ask me every day, multiples times per day, if I'll come out and "watch them ride their bikes in the road." The boys upgraded to a 20 inch bike this summer and they have really taken off with them. Eli especially loves to go fast. Noah is a little more timid with his bike and doesn't go quite as fast as Eli. It probably has something to do with a big crash a little over a month ago that resulted in a nasty road rash on his knee.
Sarah just got a balance bike a month ago and it didn't take her long at all to figure it out. She was even able to keep up with us on a bike ride to the park. Though she did have her first big wipe out on that bike ride going down a pretty steady hill on the trail to the park. She got going so fast and was trying to slow herself down by dragging her feet but wiped out. She is now sporting a scab on her knee and elbow. Noah told her she was brave. She even got back on and finish the ride to the park, after I bandaged her up. A Band-aid can fix just about any boo boo.
