Climbing

Our boys love to climb. Especially Eli. He LOVES it. It's really hard trying to reign him in sometimes because we don't want him hurting himself. Aaron found this place in New Haven that is an old abandoned factory turned into a climbing gym. I called and they said they would be more than happy to teach the boys a little climbing, so we decided to give it a try.

As soon as we walked in the doors the boys were just wide-eyed and super excited. They got hooked up with harnesses, and they took turns climbing the wall. At first they each only made it up a little bit, and then they got scared. The instructor showed them that they could let go, and the ropes would catch them. They thought that was pretty cool. We were able to get them each to go a little higher just with competition. Neither wanted to be beaten by his brother! They each were able to make it about halfway up the wall, and then Noah's nerves got the best of him and he refused to climb anymore. Eli, with his special climbing shoes, was able to make it all the way to the top of the wall and rang the bell. He was so proud of himself and has been asking to go back ever since!
