Easter on the farm

For Easter weekend we drove down to Tennessee to my aunt and uncle's house/farm. It was a really fun weekend. The kids got to ride a pony, check out all the animals on the farm (including 3 day old kittens), feed the fish, and collect fresh eggs. One of the horses (a rescue horse who is actually the granddaughter of Secretariat) was missing an eye from an injury from a branch. After seeing that horse the boys had to check all the horses for 2 eyes.

Our motel had a pool so we were able to take the boys swimming a couple of times. Sarah especially loved the pool and thought it was really funny to put her head in the water. The boys were so tired on Saturday night that they fell right to sleep and the Easter bunny was able to come and visit the motel. They woke up to baskets hidden in the room and then we had an Easter egg hunt at the farm.
We took off after the Easter egg hunt. It would have been nice to stay for dinner but all 3 kids fell right to sleep in the van and we were able to drive in peace and quiet for about an hour or so before they woke up. It was a great weekend!
