| I love this picture. This is what you get when you are a girl with brothers. She's dressed up like Spiderman but playing with Barbie. |
 |
| Eli lost his front tooth on Monday. Here he is showing off his jack-o-lantern grin while doing some school work. |
 |
| He turned his hat backwards and insisted I get a picture. He's so cute and grown up. |
 |
| Noah really wants to get his math done so we can have a few weeks off for summer. |

| Cooling off in the fountains at Fairfax Corner. |

| They played for hours in the fountains. We had lunch and even got some Ben and Jerry's from across the street. Then some friends showed up and they played some more. |
Tuesday was a great summer day. We were out in the sun for several hours playing at the fountains. After coming home we set up sleeping bags and pillows on the floor in front of the TV and watched a movie. As expected after playing hard in the sun, Sarah was exhausted by 7pm. It took some convincing to get her to go to sleep since Noah and Eli were still outside playing with the neighbors.
Wednesday they sealed the pavement in front of our house. They did it first thing in the morning, but it was blocked off from traffic for the rest of the day. The kids had a field day riding their bikes and scooters in the road without the threat of cars. At one point I looked outside and the kids were riding along with about 6 other kids from nearby. They were in kid heaven.
Today has been about the same. The kids have been playing outside all afternoon. They made some new friends from down the street and have been riding bikes and scooters with them all day. I think their favorite part of the day is when Kate and William (the kids next door) get home after work. The other day they told me that Kate is their best friend.
In my mind this is what summer is all about. Playing with friends outside all day. Getting dirty. Climbing trees. Only coming in when you are hungry or need to pee.
And on a side note, Sarah just came over and saw me making this post. I scrolled up to show her the picture of her and she laughed. "So adorable!" she said, "That picture of me is so adorable."
